Position Summary
Support accounting management through assisting in preparation of financial statements in accordance with GAAP and/or internal operating needs, formulation of internal controls, and oversight of accounting functions including accounts receivable and accounts payable. The position will additionally assist with budgets, forecasting, financial and operational analysis, manage journal entries, and ensure compliance. Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office is required.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
- Supervising accounts receivable, accounts payable, and general accounting department functions
- Review and enter credit memos and reconciliations of accounts receivable and accounts payable
- Review and audit tire D/R transactions
- Prepare weekly accounts payable report and prepare checks for disbursement to vendors
- Review aging schedules of accounts receivable and accounts payable providing information to management of delinquent accounts and vendors requiring payments
- Review and upload transactions into general ledger from supporting systems (i.e. Concur, Fullbay, etc.)
- Cycle counts of inventory parts
- Assisting with budget and forecasting
- Analyze financial and non-financial data
- Assist Controller in establishing and maintaining internal controls
- Reviews Staff Accountants and Accounting/Finance Specialist
- Predictable and regular attendance is required
- Performs other site and position specific duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field preferred
- Professional certification preferred but not required
- Three or more years of progressive accounting experience
- Ability to work within timeframe of standard policies and procedures
- Ability to maintain confidentiality related to sensitive company and employee information
- Proficiency in MS Office including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to exhibit a professional, courteous demeanor

While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to talk or heaPr. The employee frequently is required to use hands or fingers; handle or feel objects, tools, or controls. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Items that may be required to lift include, but are not limited to, bankers boxes with files, desktop computer, and boxes of paper reams. Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus. The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate. The work environment is mostly an indoor office environment with up to a quarter of the time spent outside on transport yard, repair shop, or other area for observation of inventory/assets or communication with employees and management of operating companies.
